Please get the spicy girl. I think about it every day. It is the best sushi roll I have ever had. This place is one of my favorite sushi spots ever! I love the booths.

Long wait but well worth it, during Christmas week. The bright lighting in the entrance area should not put you off - the dining room itself is more pleasant, Most of our dishes were delicious and the service was friendly and efficient.

Really cool spot in Coolidge corner with really neat decor and seating. They have some plant based sushi options as well as the standard veggie dishes.

Finally got to try this place after wanting to check it out for a long time. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. The interior design is beautiful and the menu is extensive, so there really is something for everyone. The ambiance is really nice, and you get to step away from the hustle and bustle of Coolidge Corner. The food we had was good, but pretty expensive. Our service was average, nothing to complain about, but also pretty minimal attention at least for our table. We didn't having any pressing needs but it did take longer to order than we were hoping for waiting for the server to come by. Overall, my experience was average, nothing bad but also not anything I couldn't find somewhere else. I would need to go back to try more of the menu to get a better take on other unique dishes, but if you're looking for an affordable sushi experience and don't care as much about the ambiance of the restaurant, I would try somewhere else.

Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. The place is more grandiose than I expected, especially with the decor and two floors. The menu is extensive and it was difficult to decide what to get! We settled on the spicy salmon maki, the Futo maki, and the chicken katsu curry. Spicy salmon- not a solid piece of salmon, rather a mushy consistency, and not spicy at all. But good flavor! Futo- had Japanese pickles, crabstick, spinach, mushrooms, fish powder. Spinach overpowered it, but otherwise the roll lacked flavor where I expected more going on. Chicken katsu curry- it was my first time trying this dish, and I loved it, it was a perfect comfort dish. The chicken wasn't overly breaded or too crispy and was perfectly tender. The curry was basically a gravy with cubed carrots and potatoes (I think) and wasn't spicy. Would get again! I also got a lychee martini, which was very simple, refreshing, and not too sweet. Service was quick even on a fairly busy Friday night. I'd recommend making reservations, and I'd come back!

The restaurant itself is really unique. Everyone was wearing traditional Japanese clothing, even down to the shoes. We were seated with a paper partition that you'd find in Japan. The sushi itself was okay, nothing special in my opinion and kind of overpriced. The only thing that I was like wow about was the kamameshi pot with short rib. The flavor of the beef was so savory and delicious and very tender. There was a lot of rice in there unexpectedly and it had lots of mushrooms to make the dish more robust. It also came with this seafood soup that came in a teapot and was really good. We got multiple cups worth and got to eat the seafood once the broth was all gone And for dessert we got the matcha fried ice cream and tiramisu. Also nothing really special about these desserts. If you do come here, come here for the Kamameshi, the only thing that made this place special food wise

This place reminded me of the anime "Demon Slayer" because of the wooden Japanese booths, along with the employees wearing kimonos. It was a really nice environment and quiet, which was nice for date night! The food overall was solid and yummy, and it was overpriced BUT the price was somewhat justified for the quantity of food that came out and you're paying for the experience. We thought it was worth it! The employees were super friendly and responsive if needed. There are also buttons that come with each booth to call the waiter if needed (reminds me of home). Overall, I would recommend this place for a nice date night/dinner plans.
